Welcome to the Get in Gear Annual Rite of Spring. We are so proud to celebrate 40 years of our event that is so richly steeped in history and tradition since its inception in 1978.
It is very exciting to be a part of the running industry within our community and to continue to provide high quality and well managed running events as the overall mission of the Get in Gear.
New for our 40th is the introduction of a new half marathon course which we believe is a better course for our runners. This information is posted on the course map pages of our website.
Finisher medals will be given to all finishers of all of our events for the first time in Get in Gear history, in commemoration of the celebration of our 40th.
The Get in Gear events has something for everyone. Quality shirts, medallions, awards, food, corporate and school competition, give-away race day items and many special awards just for participating in all age groups in all events.
We are so proud to continue our relationship with our primary charitable partner, Second Harvest Heartland in the fight to end child hunger in our community. With the help of our generous participants and our donation match program, Get in Gear, Inc. has contributed over $130,000.00 in the fight to end child hunger in our community. Additionally our community support donation program has also contributed to many local organizations.
